Since 2017, The Canine Cup has been a beloved celebration of kindness, community and
our furry friends!
This year's event saw a collaboration between two local charities - Paws For Change
and Safe Pets Safe Families to bring this unique event to fruition in 2025, along with our major naming sponsor - Scratch Pet Food.
Once again, we invited all South Australian dog lovers to unite for an unforgettable race day, where our canine companions showcased their skills in a delightful game of recall - as we watched their efforts to run, walk, trot, or shuffle across the finish line, on the big screens.
It was a great day, raising crucial funds for both animal and community welfare programs through these charities and, whilst the day was a warm one, there was no shortage of laughs, good food, great prizes and a whole lot of love for our furry friends!
About Our Charities
Paws For Change is a registered Australian charity dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the community on both a local and global scale.
Proceeds from all donations, product sales and sponsorships go directly to our animal welfare and rescue projects.
Safe Pets Safe Families provides crisis and early-intervention programs, integrating human and animal services to address the interconnected needs of both.
By keeping pets and people together, they reduce animal neglect, surrender, non-medical euthanasia, contributing constructively to broader social systems by improving community safety and mental health, supporting hospital admissions and reducing burden on animal management bodies.
